I lived in Snyder until I was about 6 years old. My families are from there. They are the Newbys, Browns, Pitts, & Floyds. This is a great web site. Been a while since I was on the Scurry County Web site. I'm glad I could not find the write up on Wheat Texas because this is a much clearer print out of it now. Doing a great job. Granddaughter of the Polnack of which his land was where the town of Wheat was built.

I recently received a notice from Scurry County, from someone who is searching for Cotton and Hall in this county. One of my Grandfathers sisters married a Cotton. My Grandfather was Robert Dorn Hall and my mother was Hattie May Hall McElyea. I would love to hear from any of the people researching the Hall and Cotton families for I am sure we both are from the same lineage. Robt. D Halls mother was Louisa Dickinson and his Dad was William Hall I have a fair account of the Hall and Dickinson family to share if they are interested.
Hoping to hear from someone soon.
