Am looking for WASHINGTONs residing in the Kirkheaton area
circa 1789. Am confident have traced my direct linage back
to a William Washington, born in 1789.
I am on firm foundation going back to my GGg grandfather William
and Ellen Knight nee Gundall who were living in Golcor in 1842.
My search reveals that the possibility my GGG grandmother Ellen
was the 2nd wife of William.
There is a strong link that William had a 1st wife Rachel, and that
she died of complication related to child birth on 13 Jan 1822.
They had 4 children Ann, James, Jane,and Thomas Lord. Ann died at age
12 on 3 June 1827.
If anyone has any connection with WASHINGTONs in the Huddersfield area I
would like to corrospond with you.
