Thanks to the many volunteers and submitters that help make gathering information just a bit easier. Interested in the family names McGraw, Laverty, Carroll, Devine or McGinnity.

Just beginning to look for the name of a person who may have made a chest of drawers for Alfred & Ilma Olsen back in the 1910's 0r 1920's. Ilma was the daughter of Conrad Schiffler of rural Avoca. We fould what we believe to be "Jacob Steinhart" written on the back of one of the drawers with the additional information "zur Ilma" meaning "to Ilma"

Hello, I'm looking through Illinois, Indiana and Wisconsin for my Goodwin relatives. They seemed to move freely among these three states, married, owned land, had children, then went across the Oregon Trail to Oregon Territory around 1850. They are not in the 1850 census for any of these states. These pages are helpful and I'm closing in, just need a break.

I'm appreciative of any volunteers who try to meet fellow searchers needs and requests. I love the cemetary projects. Some of my best data has come from cemetary markers, particularly when they help me get a death certificate. I'm ordering a copy of the St. Paul cemetary index. I just wish I could get some kind of a break trying to locate my Francis Mullen family that lived in Mineral Point. How did every one of them just vanish off the face of the earth?!!

This is the worst site I've been on. Ran me all around but gave me nothing. Kept sending me out of Iowa County. Very frustrating.
