My earlist arriving ancestor on my Dad's side of the family was Johann George Wimmer, arriving on the ship the Phoenix and captained by Capt. Spurrier. My grandfater did research on the Wimmer's in Montgomery County,PA and their descendants back in 1955. He searchged records in graveyards, churches, and In Germany and Austria. Pretty good for a boy forced from school in the 3rd grade. It's published and in family hands on the whole.
