I was looking at death information on my mother Sylvia Sprecher b. 27 Jan. 1919 and was surprised to read that her last residence was Hartland Waukesha, WI. To my knowledge she never lived there. She made her home in Madison, WI from about 1946 until 1993, died in Iowa in 2000 and is buried in Madison, WI. I sure would like to know what family member verified this information for you. It is incorrect.
Thanks.

Seeking genealogical information with reference to the Holzbauer-Kohl families, arriving in the Milwaukee County
area in the 1840s-1850s, on their way to Waukesha, Menomonee Falls/Marcy area in the Brookfield township, before
moving to Ozaukee County, Cedarburg township. Joseph Holzbauer and Catherina (maiden name unknown) arrived at
New York in August 1854 from Bremen with their family of Joseph, Andrew, George, Catherine and John on their way
to Wisconsin. Later Mary was born in Pennsylvania along the way and Charles after arriving at Menomonee Fall homestead
in Waukesha county. Joseph Philip Holzabuer, who was born in Bavaria on 19 March 1838 and later married Anna C. Kohl
in the early 1860s and owned a farm near Menomonee Falls and Marcy in the Brookfield township than on the Holzbauer farm
at Deckers Corners before selling it and moving to the Schuette homestead. Joseph Philip and Anna C. Kohl Holzbauer lived
there until their deaths: Anna C. Kohl Holzbauer died 5 April 1909 and Joseph Philip died 8 July 1911. The home, The Wayside
House is now on the National Historical Regestry in Cedarburg. I would appreciate any information and assistance with my
research and any one who may know more about the Joseph Holzbauers in the Milwaukee, Waukesha, and Ozaukee Counties area.
So far my searching this RootWeb site has been very interesting, and I await any leads with reference to this research,
hoping to find out more about my Great-Great, Great-Great-Grandparents and other relations. I have visited the Menomonee Falls,
Marcy, Cedarburg and surrounding areas in the late 1990s and have to return soon.
Thank you, John G. O'Connell, III
