The one thing I never see in rootsweb is a section regarding Alien Registrations records from 1940-1944. INS has a web site about those records but no index showing where the records are really held for any state, county, or city in the U.S. No name index either. What a mess. Who can help with this? Its a pain to contact numerous offices only by snail mail and such a slow process to try to figure out who has ancestors files. This is a challenge for the U.S. Betsy

I love RootsWeb.com It is the most wonderful research I have found my g-g-g-g-grandparents and I would not have had the opportunity or the resources to do this kind of research in my lifetime .
