.

I see on the cemetery list for Snow Hill, Greene County, North Carolina, Mewborn Cemetery listed below has never been completed with documentation. I am looking for my husband's uncle Allen Eldon Peacock. We searched Mewborn Church Cemetery and the "other" Mewborn Cemetery on Mewborn Church Road with no luck. Is there another older Mewborn Cemetery as indicated below ?? Allen Eldon Peacock was born June 28, 1926 and died July 1, 1927. On his death certificate his burial place is Mewborn Grave Yard. His parents were Bernie P Peacock and Isabelle (Belle) Peacock. The undertaker is listed as L. W. Edwards, Snow Hill, N.C. I'm thinking since it is such an older grave it must be in an older cemetery and possibly unmarked since the Peacock family were farmers and money was scarce.

Any help would be appreciated in finding this gravesite.
Thank you,
Debbie

Mewborn Cemetery

in Oakdale turn on Titus Mewborn Rd, take first left (this road will be between Oakdale Rd and Happy Valley Ln) follow it to end don't turn to right on curve, stop at end before it turns right, look out into field, cemetery will be in the field.

I recently found the identities of my birth parents. My birth mother was Mary Moye Mewborn, Greene County native, who died in 1998. I have had a very nice "reunion" with aunts and cousins about a month ago.

I found your site using Google.

In your 1830 census for Theophilus Edwards you only had whites. In the original census for him there were Free people of color and slaves living in his household. I have records that Elizabeth Tyler in the 1850 census a Mulatto was married to a slave on the Edwards plantation. That Elizabeth Edwards sold the slave named Primus to a James Siler June 9 1851. Her X was witnessed by D A Sugg. My question is could the Free Blacks in 1830 census of Theophilus Edwards be the Tylers. James Siler gave the slave to his wife Elizabeth Tyler. And you will find Primus Tyler the the Free man in the 1860 Parke County Indiana census.

I am hoping to find leads connecting native american Andrew Siniard with his wife/my ggrand mother Kesiah Green Siniard. Timeline 1850's. I'm also hoping to find a connection between Kaziah's Father, Ansel Green and his supposed father, Colonel John Green of Virginia.
Thanks, I'm glad I found you!

This is a great sight. I am impressed. I have been researching my families tree for years. Now my stepchildren want me to search their Fathers (Raymond E. Beaman's) family tree. Records lead me to Greene Co., but the gas prices are currently holding me from making the trip to do my research. I am interested in (father)Ivey, (children), Elsie Marie, George Clifton, John & Frances Beaman. Is there anyone there that can help? If I can search anything for you here in Surry Co. NC let me know. Regards, Dee Beaman
