Found this site while searching for information on an ancestor named Mary Lowery born about 1755 in Lexington, SC and married to Edward Wing about 1774. Went to Georgia later on. I can find nothing about who her parens may have been or anything else on her. They had a daughter named Elizabeth Wing who married Thomas Boatright and they are my ancestors.

I am looking for any information on the following Mayes Family in Robeson. Penelope"Penny"Hardin(en) married William Mayes. According to the 1860 Census Easter (Esther) Pittman was living with John Arnet(Arnette) with Mayes Children and on the same property William and Penny Mayes lived with Martha "Patsey"Mayes who is my gg grandmother. I am not sure of how Patsey is related to William and Penny. Patsey's daughter is Lizzie Mayes who married Robert Cox. They later moved to Dillon, SC area. Patsey's death certificate states that the cause of death was burned by open fire. She died in Marion Co. SC. Looking for any information on this family. They are the only few people I know on my father's side. Everyone else is deceased and I do not live in the area. It seems most of the children were illegitimate and I cannot find any info on the Mayes family. They were listed as Mulatto on earlier censuses then later as white. Thank you!

I am a descendant of Nevell and Mary Bass, both born around 1820 in Robeson County, NC. They had several children born in Robeson County as well, Richard, Archibald, Hardy, Eamon, Chrissy Jane, Callie (1861), and others. 3 of the boys, as well as Nevell enlisted for the CSA from Robeson County. I need some kind of document, bible entry, will, anything saying if Nevell's (he had a brother named Gilson) father was Jeremiah Bass. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :)

Anyone know anything about Elias Blunt or Blount in Robeson County, NC?
Please advise if the book on History of Robeson County, NC is still available that I saw on a message board.
I have been researching Elias Blunt/Blount who arrived in LA about 1803, trying to find for sure if he was born in NC and more information. I believe James Blunt or Blount who also came to LA about 1800 is his father from a Court Documents I found in Louisiana but no information about them prior to Louisiana arrival.

I am researching my McDonald familiy whom I have found lived in Wishart, Robeson County. My 2nd great grandfather was Randal French McDonald (born abt 1853; died 1923) who apparently was married three times--first to Mary Ivey, second to Lucy Speight and finally to Jessie Blackburn. I can't seem to find anything about his father or mother. From Ancestry.com I've found census records, etc. but would love to know more about this family. Would appreciate any help you might give.
