My ancestor was John Marshill, the son of Jacob Marshill and Margaret Cypert. John a birthright Quaker born 5 Jul 1768 in Orange County was disowned for marriage out 5 May 1792. He has present day ancestors in Alamance and Chatham County but my line moved to Parke County, Indiana in the early 1850's. His wife Elizabeth is a mystery. I am investigating possible connections for her to the Albright family at this time.

I am a descendent of the Isaac Sharp that is shown in the index of "Table of Contents" for Volume 19, Number 1 of the Alamance County Genealogical Society Journal. How may I get a copy of the journal or that particular article? I have been working on my father's (Carl Vance Sharpe of Guilford County) family history. So far, I have been able to research about nine generations. I visit Guilford and Alamance Counties a few times a year on business and family visits. I'm particularly interested in archives of Stoner's (Steiner's) Church. I recently visited Burlington and the graveyard on the Dale farm in Belmont. I've also visited the Hillsborough Public Library, State Archives in Raleigh, etc. and have found considerable information.

I would like to hear from anyone who has information on the Sharp family from the Belmont area.
