Very nicely done. I found my great grandfather on my mothers side of the Riley family. Briar Jim Riley was my grandpa and I visit his grave every year back in Morris Fork Perry Co. Kentucky. He is buried beside his dad George and his mom Sally up on the hill back in the holler.

Thank you Eric

My father is James Autrey Riley, son of Frank Leslie Riley, son of William George Riley. We started out in Virginia (Miles and Hugh Riley) and then some of my family went to Kentucky and some went to Alabama.
again thank you for sharing your love and honor of family.

I came across an email posted on the Riley Guest Book by Sarah Riley (Sarah25@aol) dated 13 September 2006. The Sarah Riley she mentions being named after was my Grandmother. I would very much like to get in touch with Sarah but her email address has changed. If anyone one out there has any knowledge about my Grandmother and her family I would love to here from them.

My name is De Conlin Riley. My husband, Scott is a descendant of Patrick Riley of Antrim, Ireland (1740-1823). Patrick married Ann (1747-1817). They are buried in the Old Silverbrook Cemetery in Anderson, South Carolina.

His son, Martin Q. Riley came with his parents to South Carolina from Ireland when he was three years old. The family settled in Tumbling Shoals. In 1795 Martin Q married Annie Hann.

Their son, David Love Riley (born 1812 in South Carolina) moved to Alabama then moved to Van Zandt County, Texas.

David Love and Colon Sides had a son on 12-23-1840 (in Alabama) named Andrew Jackson Riley. They also had a son named Davis Love Riley and 10 other children.

Andrew Jackson Riley married Sadie Thomas on 1-17-1866 and they had a son Alan Love Riley. They also had children named B.P. Riley, T.B. Riley, J.M. Riley and Ollie Riley.

Alan Love married Ella Parsons and they had a son in Comanche, Texas named Herbert Riley on 11-21-1900. They also had 2 other children: Andrew Jackson Riley and Truman Ray Riley.

Herbert Riley married Inez Downing and they had two sons Horace Riley (1926-1985), Frank Riley, my father-in-law (born 1932) and one daughter Dolores Laverne Riley (born 1934).

Frank Riley married Nancy Sue Carroll and they adopted one child, a son (my husband) Scott Edward Riley born 6-26-1966.

Any help on researching the Riley genealogy or access to the information would be greatly appreciated.

I want to Thank you for this wonderful site. I wasnt going to go any father than the front page until I noticed the picture of the two little girls on the guestbook link. May seem odd but one of them looks just like me as a child. All of the Riley women in the last four generations seem to carry the Riley jaw line and round cheeks, not to mention the brows, lips and nose! Ah and the freckles! My Grandfather was Charles Monroe Riley, one of two children raised in Derby Kansas by Charles English and Fern Riley.Of the family members that I have known as a child, all of them have lived in oklahoma, missouri, kansas, texas and arkansas. I am still researching to find more proof but i believe that one of the Add ins that is on your list of siblings could possibly be where my great grandfather would be placed in the tree.Charles English was one of five children in which two boys and three girls were born. Fathers name is still unknown at this time but i should have more info when his birth certificate arrives. Again I want to thank you and God Bless you for the work that has been placed here for other Rileys to find their way home.

I am seeking the burial place of Patrick...Our cousin Denver Lee Riley stated to me that Patrick is buried in the old Riley cemetery near the orinal land that was settled between 1799 and 1803in then Clay county. Nine years ago when I first started doing research I didn't know my g. grandfather RILEY'S name and when I finally found him I could not find his Family. BONARGES is not a very ordinary name. I've met a cousin in Texas who set me on the right TRAIL and I can't tell you how elated I am. I knew those SE KY Rileys had to be connected, why else would my grandfather go to Estill Co Ky to enlist in the Union Army, but could find no proof. I found him in Hancock, Co Tn in 1860, the earliest I could find any record. This is so exciting! Marie in CA.

Great site. How much web space do you get with being a AOL customer? I'm thinking about making a site for Charles Add Riley's immediate family.
