Your earliest Pulaski County ancestor Hail's of Pulaski County, Kentucky
Comments:
I know that my Hail's have been in Pulaski County, Kentucky for about the last 200 years. Another way of putting it, is that they've been here since about the time that Kentucky first became a state.

My great-great-grandfather was John Moody Hail and he was born about 1807 in either Pulaski County, Kentucky or the Bedford County,Virginia area. John is said to be the son of Stephen Hail Jr. and Mary "Polly" Moody who were both said to have been from Bedford County,Virginia.

John Moody Hail would marry Charity Heath on October 24th, 1831 in Pulaski County,Kentucky. Charity was the daughter of Philip Heath and she was born about 1809 and it's said that she was born in Tennessee.

John and Charity would have at least ten known children: William, Isaac, Permelia, Stephen, Elizabeth, Minerva, Austin, James, George and John. My great-grandfather was their son George "Berry" Hail who was born on February 29th, 1852.

I have corresponded with descendants of George's three siblings ; William, Isaac and Minerva. But I have yet to be in contact with any descendants of the other siblings. So please contact me if you are a descendant of any of George's siblings. I anxiously await to hear from any or all of you.

My Saddler clan eventually ended up in Scioto County ( Portsmouth Ohio )
They migrated north up the Big Sandy River and US Route #23 from Johnson and Lawrence Counties Kentucky into Ohio
I never knew my fathers father nor grandfather.
I knew my Grandmother Dora (Tatman)Saddler as a very young child. She passed on when I was three to four years old.My Grasndmother was married to
Alex Saddler, The son of Andrew Jackson Saddler. who was reported as being the son of Samuel Saddler.

I stumbled into the Pulaski County Site and located many Saddler's with the first name of "Samuel", my GGG Grandfather may have been born around 1813. It was reported that he married Nancy Gibson DOB around 1819.
It was reported that they had three children

Poor ol' Elias (born 1776-1779) I can't seem to find his parents. He had a grant in 1800 in Pulaski/Wayne, then went to Botetourt VA, then back to Pulaski before 1820 census. His wife Prudence and children divided his property in 1848 according to deed someone sent me. I thought at first he had gone from VA to KY, but now I think maybe he came from parents of old Lincoln Co. I've really enjoyed your web site. I keep launching off it to other good KY sites.

I need Genealogy information of my late grandfather Rev. Lawrence Hughes that was born in Somerset Kentucky (in Pulaski County). I need records from any Court, Bible, and Indian Roll records. He was 69 years old when he pasted away which was about 12 years ago. He resided at that time in Coco Beach, Florida and was placed in a burial there . I believe that his mother was native american - Cherokee? I need his mother's maiden name to prove that there is a native american bloodline in my family. My wife and I need this information in order to adopt a native american child. Can you please refer us to someone in Somerset that could help us?
