I am seeking info about my ggg-grandfather, George Washington Webb. He was born in Tennessee in 1820. He married Henrietta Owens in 1845 and moved to Texas sometime after that. His descendents (there aren't many of us) still live in TX. I've been researching my family history, searching for information about George Washington Webb and/ or trying to find other living relatives. I don't know George Webb's exact birthplace or his parents or siblings names. He was born August 2, 1820 and he died in Texas in 1898. If you think you might be related, please contact me... I'd be very interested in hearing from you. Sincerely, Heather Webb

I'm not sure if your Webb family is the same as mine. I live in Mobile, Al and have traced my line from Washington County, AL to TN and now I'm lost. I'm looking for the father of a Carel Webb(son) born in 1859. I know that his wife's name is Ann but am unsure of her maiden name. I know they moved to Illinois sometime between 1845 and 1855. In the 1880 Census, Ann Webb is listed as widowed with four children, Mitchael(as spelled on the census), born 1855 in IL, Sarah, born 1857 in IL, Carel, born 1859 in Illinois and Mary, born 1863 in IL. Both the mother and father's birthplace is listed as TN...Hence this little note. Please let me know if any of this sounds familiar and I will jot down the names you're looking for and do the same if I come across anything during the search for my line.
Thanks!!

He mother danced on some of the street corners in London with Harry Lauder. Her father frowned on it. His Aunt owned a city block in London that was full of shops. Don't know much more than that. If we are connected it would be through an Uncle of Grandad's or something like that.

Hello, Mr. Webb. My mother was a Webb (from family in western Kentucky.) I have been doing some genealogical work, and have located my distant ancestor, Jeremiah Webb, who was born in 1791 in Rutherford County, North Carolina.
It seems to me that Webbs from North Carolina in that time period could be related. Do you have any other information about your ancestor, David Webb, such as what county he lived in? If I come across any other information, I'll let you know, and you can do the same for me. Jeremiah Webb moved from North Carolina, to White County, Tn, and from there the Webbs moved to Carlisle County, Ky. I'm willing to call you "cousin" of you're looking for more Webb relatives. I live in California, but I'm planning a tri[ later this month to visit my family in Missouri, and also spend some time in Kentucky and Tennessee. Best regards,

Knowledge of Webb side of family only extends back to Tennessee (exact place unknown but western part of state) My Grandfather James Webb born in Tennessee, joined Army (or Cavalry) and finally settled near Moran, Wyoming near Jackson Hole where he operated a gas station/cafe on a 40 acre parcel. Rockefeller family later purchased entire valley for a national park or such whereupon James moved his family to Hailey, Idaho. My father, John Talbert Webb was youngest of three brothers: Dale and Farnum Webb, both deceased. My father spent last 30 years of his life in Salt Lake City in construction industry where he passed away. I live in Reno, Nevada and have been here 35 years.

Enjoyed looking at your genealogy. My grandfathers name was Jack Webb, born 2/12/91, died 8/10/38, but I don't believe there is any family connections there. He was buried in the Sprinkles Cemetery in Dexter, Mo. I was born 3/7/38, so I never knew him. Keep up the good work

My gr-gr-grandfather was James Coleman Bazzell. He entered land in Calloway County with Richard L., the father of David T. I'm sure you know the other Bazzell original land entrants were John and Kendall. I've never been able to establish a relationship between these four. What do you think about their relationship? They all certainly were close for years.

Enjoyed your site. It's possible we are somehow related. My Mother Katie died in 1987 and all I can remember besides her father and mother's names and once I can recall she said she was related to Surratt's. Other than a few Aunts and Uncles, I don't know anything else. Right now I'm researching another branch of my family tree, but occasionly I look for any Webb's that may have been related to my mother.
