Thanks for your work Arnie. I learned from you that your cousin thru his wife and I are related. Way back in the Bliss line, I find that our 9x Great Grand aunt was tried as a witch at approx. the same time as the Salem Witch Trials. Neat!

WOW! I am amazed by what I have found here so far. Some does conflict with information I have, but then one must take 200 year old personal accounts with a grain or two of salt.
I do have a bit of additional information on the Hill line from Maine and New Brunswick. This is, as my last name might indicate, my ancestral line. There are a couple of people missing and a few dates wrong. I will email the information to you.
I did find some things I didn't know! I love finding sites new to me!
Thank you!!

Thomas Lane died about 1885 and is buried in Shawano County, Wisconsin in the Maple Grove Cemetery. His son, Isaiah, was living in Shawano County at the time.
Eliza Ann Lane died after 1880 in Lewiston, Maine where she was living with her daughter, Susannah Lane. I have been to her grave site in the Riverside Cemetery but didn't get the date of death.
Elizabeth Lane Noyes Powell Thibodeau was born on 25 Aug 1837 and died in Danforth on 16 Dec 1924. She married (1#
James Wakefield Noyes, #2# Evan Powell, Jr., and #3# Fabian Thibodeau. I am descended thru the Powell line.
Incidentally, I have pictures #tintypes) of four of the daughters of Thomas and Ann Lane, unfortunately I don't have one of Elizabeth, but have Susannah, Emily, Rebecca, and Mary E. There is also one picture that I think is a Lane but it doesn't have I.D.

I have been researching the James Lane-Eunice Purdy family of Calais and have slightly different info than you have. I am a descendant of Thomas Lane thru Elizabeth Lane Noyes Powell Thibodeau. My info indicates that Eunice Purdy was a sister of Jemima Purdy Noble, Phoebe Purdy Burgess Hadley, , Sally Purdy Hoyt and Mary Purdy Sullivan of Nova Scotia. Eunice was born in New York State possibly in Mamaroneck according to one of her sons' census info. Haven't had much luck tracing any of the sisters except Jemima who married John Noble in New York where they were both imprisoned. Would be very interested in comparing any info that you have.

You certainly have an extensive record. I captured your data as I was working on the Rosses & Dickeys of Charlotte Co, NB.
I'm curious also about the Austins. My wife was Mary Austin (b. 1946 in Lynn, MA), daughter of Harry Austin.

Am very interested in the family of Frederic Ayer & Elisabeth Taylor Ayer--their son Lyman Ayer married into the Steve Hill family (who had emigrated New Brunswick) in 1860 at Belle Prairie or thereabouts in Minnesota.
Am trying to piece together background on what appears to be an enclave of New Brunswickers in the Upper Miss. area in 1850s and 60s.
Lyman only had one surviving child, Ina Ayer who married Osborne Sims.

Hello,
I have found your ancestral work on the Grant family in Oak Bay (my grandfather, Willard Emerson Grant) and on the Lindsay family of St. Stephen (my grandmother Roberta Victoria (Lindsay) Grant) to be extremely helpful. In fact, absolutely amazing. My sister and I have some reservations about some entries - would you be interested in hearing these?
The other side of my family were the Hicks' of Midgic New Brunswick and the Walkers of Fredericton - are there any similar 'family trees' for these, that you are aware of. My email address is from the French shore in Nova Scotia, near Meteghan, where I have a cottage on the beautiful Mavillette Beach.
Yours sincerely,
W. Bruce Hicks

It's been some time but I do thank you for the help you did for my cousin Jon C. Miner and myself a couple of years ago tracing our ancestry lines. We got it down to being 5th cousin, 4 times removed to both President Abraham Lincoln and Grant. On the Grant line, I am just missing one name. Amasa Miner 39 years old, Father of Amasa Trombridge Miner. I don't have Amaasa Miner's wife etc.... Gary
