My family arrived in Missouri in the 1790's living in Ste Genevieve, St. Charles, St. Louis upon the death of the father, John Wendal Angle in 1818. At that time the 10 children went their separate ways. Francis Angle went north and lived in Pike Co from at least January 1821. Several generations of the family lived there until about 1905 when most moved to California. Looking for connections to this family.

I feel that Greg Lamberson may be a relative because some of my relations are Lambersons buried in Rush County, Indiana. They are related through the Vickreys. I recently was admitted to DAR through Christopher Long who had brothers serving as well. I am looking for more information about Christopher's brothers. They were from Culpepper, VA. Any information will be appreciated. I could reciprocate by sending photographs of the Lamberson cemetery headstones if you want. Best Regard, Claudia

Greg,

I am searching to see if Lawrence Lamberson Sr. is my great, great, great, great grandfather. Apparently, his son Lawrence Lamberson Jr. lived in Green County Missouri and had a daughter named Anna Lamberson. She is my great, great grandmother who married James Emitt Robertson. From my research they migrated from New Jersey, to Pennsylvania, to Tennessee, to Missouri, to Arkansas to Texas.

Greg -- I see you do not have Orsen Sidney Lamberson, born abt 1819 Tioga Cty New York. I am descended from this line and have had great difficulty finding provable sources. He married Pricilla Baker Hodgins (?) b. abt 1833 in NY. I am descended from their daughter Ida Rebecca Lamberson. The family lived in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, back to Minnesota and Wisconsin. I believe he was previously married to a Sarah Haskins. Do you have any information on this Lamberson line? His father is said to be Isaac Ogden Lamberson b. 1798 in either NY or NJ and residing in Athens Twp, Bradford PA

I have a photo album that doesn't have any names on photos. Nevada Claggett's calling card is in it. I recognized my grandmother's family. Turns out, Nevada Claggett is my great-grandmother. My mother just passed away but she always told me that her mother's mother passed away right before she was born. Nevada Claggett passed away on Sept. 16, 1931. My mother was born Sept. 29, 1931. Bingo! That is my great-grandmother. I'm so glad I googled her name. Thanks to you I found her.

How did you find my site? researching Wright & Blaylocks
Comments:
I have been working on DAR papers on a lady that descends from Frank Blaylock -- you have that he died in Montgomery Co, where he is buried -- actually he died in a nursing home in Shelbyville, Shelby Co., IL -- I just went last week and picked up his death certificate which shows that his parents were Alfred Blaylock and Mary Wright the informant was Floyd Blaylock. Died 29 Sept 1949 -- Floyd listed his birthdate year as 1866, and if you look at censuses it was 1867 - it is listed on one as dec. 1867 and the 1870 shows him as 2 and Willie as 11/12 - but hadn't had birthday yet.
Also just got the will of Ewing Wright that shows Doctor Franklin Blaylock and William M. Blaylock as heirs (children of daughter Mary)and their were just young boys in 1874

I can scan the death certificate and email to you if you want it and some of the will info -- also got the estate papers of Joseph Wright, father of Ewing Wright

Hi Greg,

I have been trying to obtain more information about my ancestors from your neighboring county (Washington). Is Nashville, IL another geographical "black hole" where they didn't keep records or used them for kindling? No death record for my great-grandfather (1910), no marriage record for my grandmother, etc.... What little I have been able to obtain is from church records thru geneaology trails.com
The Washington Co clerk even told me to contact Jefferson and Perry Counties for the 1910 death record even though the will (which I was lucky enough to get a copy of) clearly states he died in Bolo Township, Washington County. Just wanted to let you know that there is a black hole much closer to you than Renssaleur, N.Y.! :)

Hello, I live in Sweden and found your site when searching for more about Henrik Persson, born 1399. He is an ancestor of my female grandmother. I think it is very interesting finding that people around the world are searching for their roots in my part of the world. So many left the Nordic countries about 100 years ago.
Thank you for sharing! I just have started to do my family reaserach and have got much help from what others have already done. Now I want to give some "language support" back to you. I found that you have written Olof Dulva. This should be Dufva. This is an oldfasioned way of writing a "v" that was common even only 100 years ago. That family Dufva was born in Finland and children came to Sweden. But as to names they must have a Swedish background from before. The whole or parts of Finland were Swedish for many years and some there still are Swedish spoken.

Warm greetings for Sweden now with snow and minus degrees.

Margareta

Very informative site. Easy to get around and interesting. I like the fact that it's not too busy. England had 3 Danish kings, lots of intermingling with Saxons (Germans), French, Dutch and Danes ... very interesting! I guess we are all just 'Europeans'. I'll check your site often.

What did you find useful on my site? The pedigree listing with source
Comments:
I have recently begun researching my husband's family. I traced five generations back to Peter O'Riley born in Ireland but lived in Bond County most of his life.. I spoke with a woman who sent me a list from Smith Grove Cemetary where Peter is buried. The odd thing is that there are three different spellings of O'Riley even though I think they are all related. Any information you have would be great. I found a land map that says "P. O'Riley" owned a parcel of land in Bond County, which would make sense because Peter was a farmer. I would love to find out where it is located now? Any suggestions or info would be great. Thanks so much. I love your site. HOW AWESOME!

Great site! I am a descendant of Jerrott Wright? Gosh, genealogy is confusing! My grandfather was Archie L. Fisher and my grandmother was Ethel Morgan. Your chart is HUGE, and I confuse easily. In any case, you seem to have all of Archie's mother's descendants. I am wondering where you got it, but not insisting on knowing. Just curious. I spent most of my adult life in Elgin, IL. and now am happy in the embrace of Onarga, IL where my grandparents Archie and Ethel spent their entire lives. Thank you for all the work you have done!

Hi Greg,
After I sent you the email yesterday, I found your website - I'm blown away! My mother was so thrilled you have info 2 generations back from William Henderson (#57). I don't think I ever would have found it. It made me so happy to see my late Grandmother has an entry too (Annette Henderson #8830). Once I get my info straight, I'll send you some data I have on the Hendersons/Groffs. I do know that my mother has confirmed that Henderson NY was actually named for another Henderson unrelated to Jacob (a wealthy landowner from Albany), and that man never set foot in the town named for him. We were disappointed to find that out. On the bright side, you are descended from another Revolutionary War Vet through Peter Groff (#8818). His father (named Peter as well) apparently served as a Lieutenant in the Continental Army. I'm in the process of confirming that.
Many, many thanks for making all your hard work available to the rest of us!!
Sincerely,
Gloria Leous

Hi, Greg;

Neat stuff. First, I noticed that it is family history that some part of the family came from Wales. That is what my Dad, Maurice V. Foose also told me. But, while I was living in Europe in the mid-70s, I had a friend that was from Wales, and she told me that Lamberson was not a Welsh name...just thougth I'd pass that along before I forgot it...of course names changed when folks entered the U.S. For example, in 1731 when my GGGGGrandfather entered at Philadelphia his name was changed from Fuss (or Fu"beta", where the "beta" character is "sz") to Foose. Fuss is "foot" in German...

Greg, Your site is very interesting.
I'm researching the Lambertson Family. I believe I am a decendant from John and Percilla Lambertson. I would be happy to share this with you and provide any information I can to help track the Lambertson clan. Contact me anytime at the email address above.

I have been researching my husband's family (Fertic) and suddently became interested in my family, particularly my father's side, the Lambertson's. I found the lambertson.net site, could not figure out how they connected and questioned my father Donald Edward, Sr only to find my Grandfather, Roy F, had a half brother and his son, Bob, created the Lambertson site. I'd like to know how the surname's connect and I'm trying to find out more about my Great Grandfather (Roy Franklin's dad) and his many 'other' families. My Uncle in Oregon (Paul) and his wife are Latter Day Saints and they encourage family roots research. My Aunt Dixie (Paul's wife) has been researching the Lambertson family tree for at least 20 years and I plan to visit them in Oregon this next Spring to learn more. I'd be interested in any info on the connection and also any info about my Great Grandfather (don't even know his first name). I like your site and your encouragement. I'll do anything I can to help in your research. Our Fertic site URL is FERTIC.NET.

My Lamberson (Lammerson, Lummerson) family were iron workers and were in PA, MD & VA in the late 1700's early 1800's. My 4 great grandfather was Jeremiah Lamberson who died in Shenandoah/Page County, VA. His daughter Hannah (born in Pine Grove, PA) married in Shenandoah and remained there but many of her siblings moved on to Ohio, TN and west usually looking for work in furnaces.

Thank you for the Isley information. I've been working with Rex Isley trying to document ALL of Malachi's descendants. Your site has definitely filled in many, many family members. My database already had over 3,000 Isley family members. I do have an Isley Family web site. At this time, it does not have any gedcoms listed. I hope to add those soon on my FTM site. My Isley site is: www.geocities.com/isleyfamilies.

Again, thank you for the information I was missing!
