She had a lot of Williamson relatives still there at that time. I did see one of my Great Uncles, Ruby Ray Williamson, for sure in the records I found on this web site. Thanks. I will be looking some more for others as time permits.

My father died when I was only 4 years old. I have never seen his grave site before. While looking up local history, I got the idea to "google" his name and see what would happen and this site appeared. I was finally able to see it. His family has promised to go with me there this coming year, but it was nice to have my own moment, even as this. Thanks to the people who took the time for photos and record keepers. It is sometimes more than history, especially when it is family.

The information that was posted regarding the Terrell State Hospital is not very good. The Kaufman Co Clerk's Office will not give any info relating to the State Hospital because this is part of the patient's record and all records are sealed. I wasted a morning because of the info that was passed along on this website.

I am working to compile a complete muster roll and status for the 6th TX CAV RGT, CSA. This County helps greatly to resolve the problems associated with the official rolls which have many duplications. I have added a lot of data and have unit history in word and the muster roll in Excel which allows me to view the whole 6th roll in alpha format as well as company and to provide a rank Structure.

I have been viewing various areas of this site for about two weeks. My maiden name was LaRoe. My parents were from Kaufman County.
In the 1929 Ola school picture the boy in the first row of children standing from the bottom, second from the left, white shirt brownish looking jacket is my father Jack Edward LaRoe. In the third row from the bottom, seated slightly to the right of middle; the little girl with the page boy hair-cut, and the white blouse is my Aunt, Etta Louise LaRoe. They were the children of James Edward LaRoe, and Alma Priddy LaRoe. They were the grandchildren of Richard Henry LaRoe, and Tennessee Little LaRoe.
I am still finding more, and more iformation about my family on your website. It is great.
My mother was Opal Vick LaRoe. Her mother's family name was Beavers. They had a big reunion in Terrell. I am wondering if they still have a reunion.
I hope to hear from some of my relatives.
