Over 50yrs. ago I visited the area with my father who was visiting an uncle. He had a farm out of town and down the road was a one room school house. I don't know if he was a Sugden or a Meade. There were six or seven natural springs feeding the school house. I am interested to know if there are any records in the archives that will give me information regarding the area and the Meades/Sugden families. I spent my childhood through ninth grade in Richland Center, growing up on East Court St., and spent many wonderful days exploring the hills about town. My father managed the Marachowski's store, and later had his own store there before we moved to Portage in 1953. I spent my summer days at the R.C. Country Club which was private in those days. What a wonderful place to spend your childhood.

I found this website while trying to find out information on my grandparents both sides lived in Richland Center. I knew they were buried in the Richland Center area. Some of my relatives on both sides still live in the general area. It is my hope to one day be able to come to the history room and look at the Manuscripts the ones marked Nevel are almost certainly from some of my ancestors and I am curious if the one from the Williams is also.
