How may we help you with your research? Keep posting records.
How did you happen to find this website? I found it not long after it was begun.
Comments:
My father, Jack Hysel, has previously shared information about our Cartwright family. I found the marriage certificate that you had posted for Martha Louisa Cartwright, sister of our Bryant Cartwright. According to her marriage license, Martha Cartwright-Pendleton and Joshua Duff were married in Hancock Co, IL, by Silas S Davis, minister of the gospel. I am not sure if this is Martha's uncle or not. Her mother's brother was Silas Davis, b.1780. It is an interesting thought, though.

Comments:
I can't thank you enough for the information that I have been able to find so far on this website. My step mother destroyed all of the genealogy information that my father had gathered. I have NO pictures past my grandfather Lawrence Edward Squires, so I was thrilled to see Addison Blades Roberts, who was my great great grandfather. It said that it was taken from a group photo. Would you have access to the entire photo? We really need to have any information on my Great great grandparents Nicholas Chambers Fiscus, and Katherine Riley. Hattie May Fiscus Squires is buried in San Jose Ca. but I can't get the information about where she died or how, from the Oak Hill Cemetery. She did not die in Santa Clara County according to the Clerk. I hope to hear from you. God Bless you for doing all that you do for those of us that start with nothing. dlhaynesatnqksdotcom

Lucy Salisbury Duke is my Greatgrandmother. I have been trying to locate my Greatgrandfather's grave sight. His name is Samuel Duke. I am told he was born 1827 in North Carolina. Died July 1865 in Hire Township Illinois. I undestand there are two cemeteries there - Central and Duncan. Are there any records? Hello Marcia
I was sent and email from one of the grandchildren of Thaddius W beckwith,,,it follows below they also sent a copy of the death certificate,,,the email address I have for you in my file is no longer good.please email me at pattycake71963@hotmail.com.
Thanks Patty Munson Rodriguez
We were at the library today and found this document you might be interested in. I do not have a good e-mail address for Marcia. We were looking thru the Beckwith information on line the other day and found the interesting article on Virginia Obenchain and not having any documentation to verify that she had been married to Thaddius Beckwith. We found the death certificate for Ida Griffin the daughter of Thaddius and it lists her mother as Jennie Obenchain.

We thought this was very interesting and probally very important to anyone who was interested in it. If you can find a way to forward this to Marcia we would appreciate it. And yes we are still doing genealogy but things are really getting hard to dig up even though we keep trying.
Merry Christmas & Happy New Year

How did you happen to find this website? Yahoo search
Comments:
My great-aunt has been working on my maternal grandmother family and I am trying to help her get some leads on our dead-end family lines. She doesn't believe in using the internet. I was verifying census information for Abraham Harper when I noticed there was a Harper family near a Wilcox family on the census in Hancock Co. It rang a bell. I am highly suspicious that my Mary may be one of Miles and Jerusha Wilcox's missing children and would love to prove or disprove it. Loved your site and have it book marked on my favorites now. neysablu52 at suddenlink dot net

We were viewing small towns while driving from grandparent's home site north of Blandinsville to St. Louis area (current home)and saw a ornate, old brick home in Fountain Green. We're curious about the age of the home and what income, business?, farming?, in the area could support such a beauty.

How may we help you with your research? Anything more on Joshua, William or Thomas Benton DUFF would be appreciated.
How did you happen to find this website? By chance: looking at the cemetery info on Fountain Green.
Comments:
I was so excited when I found this site and someone has researched my line. My brother and I have researched for years and you have more information posted than we had.

The DUFF line: Thomas Benton and second wife Sophia Christiana are my great grandparents. We had never heard anything about him killing Salisbury. We had some information on his father Joshua and his father. I shared the site with an aunt and my brother. Hope they are as excited as I was.

They had followed my line to the 1930 census. My mother is listed with her father Robert Carlton DUFF.

My sister and I are trying to trace our ancesters, and have had moderate success. Like old folks say, We have good days and we have bad days.
I would really like to commend you on having a very thought provoking site. I too have found data that has no sources at all. In fact i have a Genfile from my Aunt with almost 4000 names in it and hardly any sources other than the Morman site. We are trying to have sources for all the data on our site. http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~lostalbro
Some of it is pure speculation, but we try to make note of that fact.
Again thanks for a really great site and some really good ideas.

How did you happen to find this website? google search
Comments:
I have recently learned that Cora R. Swift wrote a book about the Doolittles of Hancock Co., IL. I am trying to find Ms. Swift in order to obtain/purchase a copy of her book.

Origin Doolittle was married to Hannah Barber, sister of my husband's direct-line ancestor, Calvin Barber. I am attempting to document descendants of all the Barber siblings, including Hannah and her children through Origin Doolittle.

See http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com
Enter "jss_pdb" in the "Go to Specific Database" box.
Search for Origin Doolittle to see what I have already.

Anyway, if you'd please pass this message on to Cora, I would be most appreciative. (I see her referenced several times throughout your web site.)

Thank you!

I have an old family bible that has some information pertaining to one of the entries under the Beckwith Family. Her name is Martha Sue Duty. Their kids are as follows: Jodie Velma Beckwith (08/27/1889-03/01/1969), Allie May Beckwith (05/02/1887-unknown) and Noble G. Beckwith (07/02/1892-11/02/1916).
