Comments:
I am in Acworth, Paulding County, Georgia so doing anything in N.C. would not be possible. My time is limited but if you have something in this quadrant of the N. GA area you need photographed, pls feel free to contact me. I will do my best to get what you are looking for.

As for my interest: I am trying to Trace my GG Grandfather, Martin Thompson b. 1793. As I stated, I already have his CSR cards, 5 total. I also have the Widows Pension filed by his 2nd wife, Louisa Thompson. What I'm trying to do is find where he lived prior to serving and where he lived after. The last Card of the CSR states he was in Salisbury, N.C. and in the remarks section, Distance to Residence 130, Rutherford. Checking a today map, the distance from Salisbury to Rutherford is indeed about 130 miles, give or take. I am assuming that is what they were referring to but I am not sure.
There is another Martin Thompson who served with "Alexander's Battalion Riflemen, Georgia Malitia". I have seen the Index before but ignored it until recently I happened across information that indicated "Alexander's Battalion Riflemen Georgia Malitia" was not formed until 1836 and served in the Indian Wars of Georgia. However, the NARA has this record showing under The War of 1812. I am hoping this is my GG Grandfather as well as the family did arrive in Georgia sometime close to 1830. Is this possible?
