Comments:
There is/was a cemetery On the opposite side of the woods/swamp from the Thomas Morgan cemetery listed here. It was up a dirt path towards/near a hog parlor. I believe the land was owned by Morgans. Several graves there. One had a Woodsman of the World marker (obelisk), John Washington Lane. Been many years since I was there. J.W. Lane's granddaughter, Annie Marie Richardson (my grandmother) led me there and said the Morgans wanted the cemetery destroyed. I hope it hasn't been.

Comments:
I love Perquimans County! I am so glad to see someone is taking steps to improve this site. Bravo! I am looking to communicate with any descendents of Luke Hollowell (in particular the Reddick Hollowell line) in Perquimans County since 1720 who are researching their ancestry. I am a descendent of Cora Hollowell (1880-1970)daughter of William Reddick Hollowell (1858-1890)and Margaret Stanton. I would love to hear from a Stanton Researcher as I can't find Margaret's family: Daughter of John and Mary Stanton (1830-?).
