MY mother divorced when she was pregnant with me and I never met my biological father. She remarried when I was 10 and my step father adopted my sister and I. I have always been interested in finding out about my genealogy and not to mention family medical history.
But aside from a few letters my mom saved and a couple of old pictures I don't have much to go on. So while looking on the net I found your site and desided to sign your guest book.

I'm not sure how my portion of the family line filtered to Northern Michigan. My grandmother, Violet Frazier Strickland Carlson, said it was to escape (with a sister or two) an abusive husband. Seems Emily and Hattie's daughters escaped a bad circumstance on Rosebud. Yes? No?

My name is Mary Louise Trudell Reinert born 10/21/70 , my dad is Kenny Trudell, my grandpa was Bill Trudell, I seen several Mary Trudells on the list but not me? Also, I didn't see any thing about my grandma "Marie" Trudell, she was Clara Marie Moose before she married Bill. Did I miss it by accident? I am trying to find relatives of Anpaduta (John Rouillard) who was born in St. Paul MN November 23, 1851 and according to my research was enrolled in Wabasa's band of the Santee Sioux. I have an old photograph of John, taken when he was elderly, with handwriting identifying him. I thought one of his relatives might be interested in having the picture.
