Hello everyone! my aunt and i had been searching for my grandmothers sisters for months! we have always been curious about them and wanted to know more, but my grandmother would not give up much information. Throughout the years my aunt would write down little tidbits here and there and we finally but together enough information to find one of her sisters with the help of rootsweb querie board and georgia's (my grandmothers baby sister) daughter trisha! she put a message in the truitt message board and my aunt found it and we both emailed her! My grandmother finally met with her baby sister after 63 years of not knowing where she was! she was being raised by her mothers last husband, john d meyers. their mothers name was addie ethal davis b.3/21/10 and died in 1936/1937 and georgia's father was paul moser truitt / truett. This reunion that everyone had was in pheonix arizona and this is where georgia had lived since 1954 and my grandmother has lived only about 200 miles from her in yuma co. a small town called wellton az for about 40 years or i believe since the early 1960's. i was unable to meet with them since i am in north carolina. But i have emailed trisha a few times and feel close to her anyway! It is so special to find a piece of a missing puzzle after so many years! we love you georgia and trisha and all your family! thanks forr excepting us ! We are still searching for julie kate truett who we believe was raised by a female distant relative by the last name of martin. We are also searching for mary elizabeth truitt and margaret lavern truitt, which were believed to be put in an orphanage in belaire texas by their father paul moser truitt.hope to find you all soon! lorie
