I found so many links on rootsweb, it is hard to remember them all. The biggest and the brightest stars are: I just got information on my great, great, grandparents who lived in England from a woman in Australia who has an ancestor with the same surname. There is no relationship, but she shared some census information that put a huge hole in that brick wall I was up against. In addition, I found a long lost family connection on my husband's side, which has opened another hole. The findings will be shared at a family reunion this May. I have gathered so much information from rootsweb and through SSDI that I think I may have even found my grandmother's brother, whom everyone assumed died as a young man. If I can make a match, he lived longer than my grandmother! The SSDI has been invaluable to confirm dates of birth and death. I thought I had good information from the US Census, turns out there are many, many, errors on those reports. But thanks to rootsweb, I have been able to correct those errors and hopefully those who continue this search after I am gone will find rootsweb as the best tool for them as well.
