I posted a message on the Belgium-Roots Digest on January 18, 2001. The next morning I recieved an email from my father's cousin. His message starts out "Bingo! I have read this mail for two years and you finally showed up." It seems that my grandfather had moved away due to unknown circumstances and never spoke about or contacted his family again. My part of the family tree had been considered "lost". We just had never had the right name to search for. My grandfather did as a lot of immigrants; he changed his name when he became a citizen. Without Roots Web we would still be looking for each other!!
